Kindergarten End of the Year Party

All 3 of the kindergarten classes got to go to the Dell Diamond to spend the school day.
Wes had a great time.
The parents also had fun visiting!

Our Week

It was a warm week so we had lots of fun outside.
I love our weather here.

Slip-n-slide

I even did the slip-n-slide but am thankful we don't have pics of that.

We spent the next day at our neighbor's pool.
Wes and I both love being outside and in the water
so this week made us antsy for summer vacation.
Only 12 more days left of school!!!!

We also got to spend time with some family.

Yesterday Wes even got to play baseball in the rain which he thought was really cool. They finally canceled the game for lightning.

Less than a minute later it poured. We were all soaked trying to swim to the car!
And today Wes has his friends Shea and Presley over playing.

BCS Grandparents' Day

Today was a special day honoring the kid's grandparents at school.

The kids performed in the auditorium.

After the performance everyone was dismissed to spend time in the classroom.
Each grade has their own traditions.
Kindergarten is the Rodeo!
They did barrel racing, bronco riding, and calf roping.

So much fun. School was out at noon so the kids could spend time with their grandparents. Wes got to go home with Grandpa and Mimi for the rest of the day and will spend the night!

Yummy Pickin'

It's that time of year when we head to Sweet Berry Farms to pick what's in season.
Right after school Wes and I drove out to Marble Falls. We picked strawberries, saw the goats and donkeys and ended the trip with some homemade ice cream.
We'll be having lots of strawberries this weekend!

As you'll see in my last blog about our weekend that Wes did NOT get much sleep. He's one that needs it or has trouble functioning or being nice. We had a rough Saturday and Sunday and I was wearing down. That evening I told him to go outside and calm down
--it works!!!
I watched him go get the chalk and start writing on our driveway.
