Growing Up...

Wes is continually growing to be more and more sweet and more and more responsible. He's been loading it up heavy all of a sudden so here are my most recent examples of my sweet guy from the last 24 hours. Last night he got ready for his bath with no prodding, used soap without me asking, set out his clothes for the next day which I've always done never even asking him to do it. And then this morning decided to make his bed all by himself which as you'll see below, he did a great job. Lately he's been wanting his hair spiky which I allow him to do except for Sunday church. Well I came in to see him combing his hair "all nice" for school today which is not the norm. He told me that since it's chapel day at school he decided he wanted to look nice to show God respect. YEAH! Something I'm saying is truly sinking in.

Wes's class had a fun Valentine's Party. Each of the children got some melted chocolate, strawberries, pretzels, and sprinkles. Thankfully for me Wes isn't eating his fruit well, so I got the chocolate covered strawberries!Wes enjoying his chocolate covered pretzels.

Swish

I have been hoping that before the basketball season was up you'd make a basket. You've gotten close several times but with no luck. Saturday was your day! You made 3 swishes!!! You didn't look up in the stands after but had a huge smile on your face while running to your coach for a high five after each basket! You are really enjoying playing and are doing really well with being a team player! You pass great, and have good control of the ball while dribbling! Way to go!
