Friends

Thursday, July 16th I was able to spend some time with a dear friend of mine, Becky!

I got to meet Dan Dan and then got to see how much Brooklyn has grown up!

The kids had so much fun playing and we had so much fun catching up!

Fourth of July

It was another fun year out at Grandpa and Mimi's for fireworks!

This year we kept it small and it was just the family.

My favorite guys EVER!!!

I will so miss when he quits covering his ears for the loud ones!

Todd talked Wes into holding the smoke bomb,

Before dark we headed to our usual spot to watch fireworks.

They always have a great display AND

we were at home in less than 10 minutes after the show!!!

Saturday at Home Depot

July 3rd, Wes and I headed to Home Depot for their build days.

Wes got to build a periscope.

When we got home he spent quite a bit of time painting it!

The next day was the 4th of July so I think Wes had that on his mind

when he painted one of the sides like the American flag!

A raining day

The day after your birthday party it was raining!

First thing you did that morning was start building the Skopio that Grandpa and Mimi got you. This picture was taken after you had been building for several hours. There were a ton of tiny pieces.

Almost done! You took a break for lunch and a few breaks to play in the rain. If I remember right you were done by early afternoon.

The finished product! Fun in the rain. This is the shirt you got from Carlos and Charlies on the lake.

Auntie Em made your birthday cake again this year,

and she did not disappoint!

Lighting your own candles

Lake Travis Birthday Celebration

The day of your birthday we told you to pick whatever our family would do.

You picked Uncle Scott's boat!

There was a pretty large chance of storms but we decided to chance it.

We ended up spending about 5 hours on the lake and it was overcast the whole time which was great for the temperature and our skin!

As always you LOVE driving the boat!

You caught the only fish of the day!

For the first time we kept the fish in the live well till time to go.

You spent most of the remaining time playing with the fish.

We ate lunch at Carlos and Charlies.

I don't think any of us had eaten there before so it was fun.

Sometime after lunch we checked the radar and it looked like the thunderstorms were going to come our way. By the time we got off the water and headed to Scott's house the rain came down and the lightning started up! It poured the rest of the day. We were home late afternoon and enjoyed relaxing together. That evening you picked Chuck-E-Cheese to eat at.

It was a wonderful day celebrating the day God blessed us with your arrival!
