Our Family Beach Trip Day One

Last Thursday afternoon we headed to Port Aransas. We were all very excited to be finally headed to the beach. We got in around dinnertime and then spent the rest of the evening just unpacking and checking out our condo. We were very excited to find that our one bedroom condo turned out to be a two bedroom! Friday morning we headed to the golf course. I know not your normal thing to do on a beach trip but hey. My dad and Todd's brother had worked on this course and Todd and Wes love to play. The course is beautiful and part of it is right on the beach. Wes is running to me after hitting a great putt!
Wes loved writing down the scores after each hole.

Wes hit a great shot over a large body of water! We had prepared him that he would probably lose his ball. We wasted our time because he hit great. You can see his ball on the green. It is the one in the back.

He loved hitting out of the sand. Anytime he saw a bunker he'd aim for it!

After our golf game, we eat a great meal of seafood, and then headed to the beach.
It was a great first day of our trip!

Queen of My Heart

Last week Wes's little class held a party in honor of moms! It was SO SWEET! Each child escorted us in. We received a beautiful crown and some refreshments. Then the class performed several of the nursery rhymes they had been learning. They were each so cute and proud.Wes was the spider in Little Miss Muffet! He loved being able to scare someone!
With a little time left all the children sang 6 of their favorite Bible songs to us. This one was Roll the Gospel Chariot. Wes was trying to "roll" the fastest. It was a special time!
Thanks, Wes!

Another Saturday of Baseball

It was another great Saturday at baseball. We had a morning game and the weather could not have been any better. I didn't get any great action shots, but I did get a cute picture of Wes in the outfield. The game was almost over and he was not seeing much action. The grass was much more interesting.

Pee Wee Update

I have to post this after my last post about him not hitting a home run and his sweet comments. Last night at practice Wes was up to bat. The coach who is great, was giving Wes a hard time and telling him he wasn't going to get any home runs on his pitches. Well, he had to eat his words. You hit a home run! Way to go! You were so excited.

Pee Wee Baseball

Last night Wes had a practice on his new baseball team the White Soxs. It was Wes's turn to bat. The coach pitched to him and Wes missed. Wes so proudly exclaimed, "That would have been a homerun." The coach pitched again, again the same comment. Everyone just smiled. Third times a charm. He hit it. It was no homerun, but he made it safe to 1st base. I love little league!

Dirt Biking

Since Wes was three, he has always been wanting to be like the big boys at the park near our house. There are several dirt paths with hills and tons of kids ride through it even jumping some of the hills. At the age of three Wes would do his tricyle through the path just pedaling as fast as his little legs could go. The big boys would smile, knowing he was trying to be just like them. SO CUTE!!! Today was his day to ride like the big boys. He had such a huge smile as he rode his bike on the dirt path. He did take the path with the smallest hill so thankfully I wasn't nervous. Here's to many more rides on the dirt path!!! I love you, Wes.
