Middle of April

We always love picking strawberries at SweetBerry Farm!
It was SUPER hot that day and by the time we got home most of the strawberries were mush.
Hopefully next time I'll bring a cooler to keep them in for the trip home.

Looking for just the right ones!

Wes lost his 2nd tooth also.
Just a few weeks later he lost 2 more teeth on the bottom!

Sunday afternoon of golf. Our family loves to get out together and go golf.
I am the photograher, Wes is the golfer-ball cleaner-driver-and entertainment, and
Todd is the assistant driver and golfer.

He loves to do everything Todd does.
Here he is checking out how far he is from the hole.

This is Wes' own move.
He likes to get an idea of just the right angle before he hits that ball.

Our Company

This morning Kodi our dog was going crazy in the backyard.
Hair standing up and barking like mad.
I couldn't see anything so I figured a snake.
Nope!
A baby possum!

Wes was a little nervous at first.
They open their mouth wide and hiss at you!
He just stayed put til we went inside and then took off!

The Zoo

Today Wes' class went to the Waco Zoo for a field trip.
The weather prediction was questionable but
it ended up being perfect!

The Tooth Fairy

TODAY we finally lost our first tooth. Wes has been waiting for this day for a long time.
He is so proud. He even wanted to go the neighbors to share the good news!

Sweet note!

Wes it was such a special day to see your excited smile after school. All afternoon you would look at yourself in the mirror! We can already see your grown up tooth ready to pop out!

Easter

Thursday was Wes' Easter party at school. The Easter Bunny stole their eggs while the kids were out of the room. Here is Mrs. Burcham interrogating the kids about how she told them to bring Easter eggs in their baskets and she doesn't understand why not one of them brought any eggs. After the kids kept insisting that they did bring eggs they found a note from the Easter bunny that sent them around the school searching for their eggs.
Not at the baseball fields!

Seriously we went everywhere on this hunt. Finally we found the eggs.
The kids loved it.

At home we dyed eggs.

Easter basket full!
The Easter bunny didn't think it would rain til later on Sunday so we had a ton of wet eggs in our backyard. Wes started with flip flops on but feeling the wet grass bugged him. Soon you'll see he changed into hunting boots.
All the hidden eggs in our backyard!

After church we got together with the Tindels and had another egg hunt. I think this makes the fourth egg hunt of the year!

The drizzle and rain left and most things were fairly dry so the kids could run around outside.
They had so much fun.

Class Helper

I came a little early one day this week and caught Wes with one of his class jobs for the week!
He's always eager to help, especially with his school jobs!
This week was filing papers!

You are a great helper. If I'm cleaning or cooking or staining the play scape,
you are right there begging to help!
